The origin of Loop was a simple pencil stroke, a loop. The idea was to capture, with a single stroke, the essence of the company Konsthantverk. Simplified to its core, Konsthantverk involves bending tubes and turning metal. What makes the difference beyond what you can do, is how you do it—with personality, care, awareness, and in dialogue with designers and creatives. A vital part of Konsthantverk is how they blend soft values like emotions with hard materials like raw brass—all with the aim of spreading light. That pencil loop took on a physical form in bent tubing. One loop became a composition of several loops that playfully relate to each other in three dimensions. Each loop ends in a crown of solid and pressure turned brass, along with the light source. It became a loop for the wall, for the floor, for the ceiling, and even one for the table. All to highlight craftsmanship and creativity.
